What Notes Taken is

Notes Taken is a fragrance discovery service. We suggest fragrances based on your answers, your taste and, if you share them, your birth details. Recommendations are personal opinions and creative interpretation — fragrance is subjective, and a scent we suggest may smell different on your skin, in your climate, or to your nose. We can't guarantee you'll love every recommendation.

Astrology on Notes Taken is offered as a creative lens for discovery, not as scientific, medical or professional advice.

We don't sell fragrances

Notes Taken does not sell, stock or ship any products. Where we link to a retailer, the purchase happens entirely on that retailer's website, under their terms, prices, stock, shipping and returns policies. Prices and availability are set by retailers and can change at any time; we only show prices we have verified, but the price at checkout is the retailer's own. Any questions about an order, delivery or return must go to the retailer you bought from.

Affiliate links

Some links to retailers are affiliate links: if you buy after clicking, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never influence which fragrances we recommend or the order retailers are shown in. See our Privacy & affiliate disclosure for details.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for the accuracy of the information you give us. Your Account page lets you remove birth details and related personal interpretations, or close your account and delete saved readings and fragrance lists. Finish any active reading first. See our Privacy policy for guest storage, separate contact messages and retention limitations.

Members can start up to 10 AI readings or follow-up updates in a rolling 24 hours. An AI attempt may consume the allowance even if it fails after starting. Catalogue browsing, account access and saved readings do not use this allowance.

Guests can start up to five AI readings per rolling 24 hours for the browser identified by our essential cookie. This is limited anti-abuse protection, not a verified person-level limit. Duplicate or simultaneous requests are blocked before AI processing.

Using the site fairly

Please don't misuse the site: no scraping, no attempting to break or overload it, and no using it for anything unlawful. We may suspend access if the site is misused.

Our content

The Notes Taken name, design and written content belong to us. Fragrance names, brands and bottle imagery belong to their respective owners and are shown to identify the products we discuss.

Liability

We work hard to keep Notes Taken accurate and available, but the site is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law, we're not liable for losses arising from use of the site, from recommendations, or from purchases made with retailers. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site grows. The date above shows the latest version; continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
